This is an ecumenical ministry to prisons. The idea is that each prison should have a group praying for that establishment and working with the chaplaincy inside the prison. As well as praying, Prison Fellowship Groups write letters to prisoners, assist the chaplaincy team as and when needed, organise presents at Christmas for prisoner’s children (Angel Tree) and deliver a victim awareness and restorative justice programme called Sycamore Tree. The Risley Prison Fellowship Group meets once a month, often at St Lewis’ in the Upper Room.

If you would like more information or are interested in joining the group please contact Peter Rowe or Jo Busby.
