The primary purpose of Eucharistic Ministers is to take Holy Communion to the sick who are housebound or in Nursing Homes. They also assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass. They may also conduct Eucharistic Services when no priest or deacon is available.
There is often a need for new members, and if you would like to help, please see contact details below. New ministers attend a training day prior to being commissioned. Eucharistic ministers should renew their commitment once a year on Maundy Thursday or Corpus Christi to pray regularly and make an annual retreat.
