CAFOD is the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development (http://www.cafod.org.uk).
St Lewis’ CAFOD Group was formed in 1983 and is dedicated to raising funds for CAFOD in addition to the regular collections they have on a Sunday and feast days. They are a small group consisting of only three members now and they are greatly in need of some help. They usually choose a current CAFOD project and through fundraising events such as coffee mornings and running a stall at the summer and Christmas fayres to try to raise an agreed amount to send to CAFOD. Unfortunately due to lack of volunteers this has not been possible for the last two years. If they can recruit some new helpers, they will be able to re-start fundraising events again.
